You need three things: the FTP host, FTP username and FTP password. Every hosting company gives you these — here is where they hide:
The welcome email your hosting company sent when you bought the plan — search your inbox for "FTP". Host is usually ftp.yoursite.com.
GoDaddy: My Products → Web Hosting → Manage → Settings → FTP users (create one if the list is empty — it takes a minute).
Bluehost / HostGator / Namecheap / most others (cPanel): log in to your hosting → open cPanel → FTP Accounts. Use an existing account or press Create — set any username and password, and keep the directory it suggests.
OVH: Control panel → Web Cloud → your hosting → FTP-SSH tab — the login is listed there; use "Change password" if you never set one.
IONOS / Hostinger: hosting dashboard → look for FTP or File access — the host, user and "reset password" button are together.
Can't find it? Ask your hosting company's chat support for "my FTP host, username and password" — it is a standard request they answer in minutes.
Above: choose platform Direct hosting login.
Paste the FTP host in the host box, the FTP username and password in theirs, press Save & test connection.
Done — the system signs in, finds your pages, and from now on titles & descriptions are edited right from this page. Before the first change to any file it stores a backup copy (.pp-backup) next to it on your server.
Sites on Shopify, Wix or Squarespace don't have FTP — pick their platform above instead. Shopify connects fully (pages & blog); Wix connects for blog publishing; Squarespace doesn't let outside tools edit pages or SEO (their rule, not ours). Your FTP login is encrypted at rest and only ever used to read and update your pages.

Open yoursite.com/parallelpos-connect.php in a browser once — it shows your Site key (copy it; it appears only once).
Your web person adds one line where the page title used to be — after that, nobody touches the site's code again.
Here: choose platform Other / custom, paste the Site key in the API key box, press Save & test connection.
Done — titles & descriptions on your site are edited from this page from now on. Wix, Shopify and Squarespace connectors are coming; their keys are stored securely meanwhile.
🔑 WordPress — how to get your Application Password (step by step)
Log in to your WordPress admin (yoursite.com/wp-admin).
Go to Users → Profile and scroll down to Application Passwords.
Type the name ParallelPOS and press Add New Application Password.
Copy the password it shows (it appears only once — the spaces are fine).
Paste it above with your WordPress username and press Save & test connection.
